About to crawl...

I'm just trying to savor these moments... Last week Briggs began sitting up fully on his own for long spans of time.  He's becoming very coordinated, grabbing objects, bringing the spoon to his mouth, banging the spoon on objects.  It's soo much fun to watch him.  I think we'll try the pots and pans soon.  I know he will love that.  He also rocks back and forth on his hands and knees.  In a way I don't want him to take that first crawling 'step' because this 6 months has already flown by.  We're having sooo much fun with our little blessing!

I know you will love Amelia and Everett as much as mommy and daddy love me. We have so much fun together and I know you will have double the fun with two. We're thinking of you right now as you are probably bringing my new friends into the world.

It was August 21, 2009 and what a big summer day it was for a 4 monther and a 1 year old. It was Briggs and Jacksons first time to the beach. I was a little paranoid because of the no sun screen till they're 6 months old rule, so we just had fun with an umbrella over Briggs the whole entire time. It was a successful day, we cut our 1st tooth, had fun and didn't even get a smidgen of extra sun on baby's delicate skin. The beach will definitely be a part of our lives, what a neat experience for children...constant bubbly wavy water that goes on for what seems to be infinity.

I was rocking a precious sleeping baby with a tummy full of mommy's milk and I heard "It". I didn't want to say anything for fear of scaring it away... So I just closed my eyes and enjoyed the comfort of a warm baby and the pitter patter on the tin roof. Thank you for the rain and for the ability to love someone sooo much, what wonderful blessings.
